Back to the Theory: Re-Considering Social Policies as Egalitarian Pre-Conditions of the Liberal Meritocracy

Looking at the given literature of social policy, it is clearly seen that both definition and objectives policies are either explicitly or implicitly associated with aim building up just society. However, most contemporary scholarly works does neither express what type justice aimed by these nor explain how why socio-economic structure stratified societies morally necessitates policies. Such ambiguities appear primarily due to insufficient engagement policy broad developed political philosophy advanced sociological conception inequalities. Thus, an implication such moral justification behind remains unclear covertly built upon a philanthropic and/or altruistic reasoning. Departing from their implications, this work firstly focuses on desert merit-centred value distribution through which liberal school in justifies inequalities outcome. Following this, discusses flawed nature meritocratic distributional model its policies, as equality opportunity, drawing inequalities.
 Lastly, underlining role individual’s class formation merits referring recent conceptual developments justice, inevitable egalitarian pre-condition, rather than initiatives, for distribution.
